In 2002 the Johnson County Ambulance District was established to provide high-quality prehospital emergency medical care to the residents of Johnson County, Missouri. The residents approved a property tax levy to form the district in order to provide fast efficient medical care.
The ambulance district staffs at least five ambulances 24 hours a day as well as a 12 hour ambulance. The district operates out of five facilities located at:
Headquarters & Training Center - House 1
500 E Young Avenue, Warrensburg
263 SE Business 13 Highway, Warrensburg
707 W 2nd Street, Holden
1360 NW 565 Road, Pittsville
2342 Irish Lane, Knob Noster
Staffing includes 46 full-time employees and around 20 part-time employees. The district averages over 7,700 responses per year and provides ambulance service to more than 830 square miles of Johnson County.
