Serving Our Community with Dedication Across Each of Our Stations.
Established in 2002, the Johnson County Ambulance District was created to deliver high-quality prehospital emergency medical care to the residents of Johnson County, Missouri. The district was formed following voter approval of a property tax levy, reflecting the community’s commitment to ensuring timely and efficient medical services.
Today, the district operates from five strategically located facilities and staffs a minimum of six ambulances around the clock, along with an additional 12-hour ambulance unit to meet the needs of the community.
The Johnson County Ambulance District is staffed by a dedicated team of 52 full-time and approximately 15 part-time employees. Each year, we respond to over 9,800 calls and complete more than 6,000 patient transports, proudly serving a coverage area of over 830 square miles in Johnson County. Beyond emergency medical response, we are committed to education. Our Training Center offers a range of EMS certification courses, including EMR, EMT, and Paramedic programs, as well as CPR, AED, BLS, and continuing education (CEU) opportunities for EMS professionals. We are also proud to support our community by providing ambulance standby services at public events throughout the county.
